WOMEN WHO PLAY WITH TOOLS

De Intuïtiefabriek is a furniture house in The Netherlands that's made up of 4 badass ladies. Amba, Carolina, Eefiene and Eva all went to the Design Academy of Eindhoven at the same time and a year after graduation they launched their first project together. They are very inspired by the material they're working with, whether it's furniture, tableware or jewelry; as well as the process or technology they are using.

To us designing is all about craftsmanship, the touch of material and the actual act of making things. Our aim is to create perfectly crafted products, from which you can feel the love with which they were made. We create a pure, precise and almost fragile feeling, taking the observer into a beautiful new world.

You have to appreciate that kind of passion and love for their craft. I can definitely see the love in their work; they do a great job of picking the right materials, and executing simplistic, edited designs. Copper had been on my radar a lot lately and I just love the use of it on Excavations and Virtu-Scrinium!
